  1. Sep 2025 – today1 yr 2 mos

    Founders Associate · CASUS

CASUS builds an AI product for lawyers, with a Word add-in, legal research and document review. I work directly with the founders and take on whatever is missing most: go-to-market, sales processes, CRM, the website and, increasingly, the product itself.

    • Go-to-market from launch to the first subscriptions: an Innovation Program for law firms in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, outreach, demos and onboarding
    • Sales automations for inbound leads, demo bookings, trials and low-ticket flows – a repeatable path to subscription without a dedicated sales team
    • Connected the CRM to product data, so sales and support can see who uses the product and how
    • Website relaunch in Framer in two weeks: 100+ pages, Lighthouse 99, visible in Google and AI search
    • Around 150 of my own pull requests in six months: checkout, pricing, onboarding and legal research across six jurisdictions, roughly twice as fast as before

    1. Project Manager Operations & Events

      Aug 2023 – Sep 2025 · 2 yrs 2 mos

Responsible for operations and stakeholder management for city events, conferences and cultural festivals – from budget, permits and suppliers through to teardown.

      • 50+ events a year, including the city festival with up to 10,000 guests and a budget of around CHF 100,000, three years running
      • Travel and logistics for 850 guests from Tyrol to the Tyrolean Ball at Vienna City Hall
      • Digitalised rental and storage of the town’s event infrastructure: chose the software, introduced barcodes, trained the team
      • Digital info displays instead of posters, and infrastructure for Tyrol’s largest open-air career fair with 70 companies
      • Led teams and suppliers, introduced structured project planning

    2. Project Assistant

      Aug 2022 – Aug 2023 · 1 yr 1 mo

Started out planning and running city events and campaigns – and quickly took on projects of my own.

      • Built Festlbecher.tirol: a regional reusable cup system for municipalities and clubs, project volume around CHF 150,000
      • Renewed the Wi-Fi at the SZentrum venue: 25+ access points for 200+ simultaneous attendees
      • Prepared and implemented the Green Event certification for the SZentrum
      • Suppliers, logistics and budget tracking, social media and post-event reporting

      Projects 2

    Schwaz, Tyrol
  3. 2015 – 2024

Event staff · Filmfest St. Anton

Seven seasons at the mountain film festival in the Arlberg region, 2015–2019 and 2023–2024. Set-up, check-in, guest care and backstage for filmmakers and sponsors, up to 800 guests per evening.

  4. Oct 2020 – Jun 20219 mos

    Paramedic · Austrian Red Cross

Civil service including paramedic training, then worked in emergency response and patient transport. This is where I learned to stay calm when things get hectic.

  5. Jan 2017 – Jun 20192 yrs 6 mos

    Logistics assistant · DAKA Entsorgung

Alongside school, part-time and in summer internships: warehouse logistics, material handling and customer advice on site.

    Schwaz, Tyrol
His tagline says he’s “execution-driven”. That’s a massive understatement. He builds things in an afternoon that I used to request quotes for – and he doesn’t stop until a problem is solved. But Mathias doesn’t just solve problems, he finds them too.

Can do. With receipts.

Five areas I take ownership of today.

  1. 3 markets

    Switzerland, Germany, Austria

    Go-to-market & sales

From launch to first deal: pilot programmes, outreach, demo flows, content and campaigns. Close enough to customers to know what they actually need.

  2. Lead → sub

    automated, without a sales team

    CRM & processes

Building processes that work without me: a CRM fed with product data, automations for leads, trials and demos, clean internal workflows.

  3. ≈ 150

    pull requests in six months

    Product & AI

Turning customer feedback straight into code: checkout, pricing, onboarding, legal research. With several coding agents in parallel, although I never studied computer science.

  4. 100+

pages in two weeks, Lighthouse 99

    Website, SEO & GEO

Websites that get found – by Google and by AI search. Structure, content, regions, structured data, performance.

  5. 50+

events a year, up to 10,000 guests

    Operations & events

Making large undertakings with many stakeholders plannable: budgets, suppliers, authorities, logistics – and on the day, it works.

After hours

Preferably outdoors and rarely alone: ski touring, road cycling, hiking and yoga with friends, plus cooking nights and Zurich summers by the river. And usually a side project that is one size too big.

  • 1,312 km by bike from Tyrol to England, 2019
  • Six months on the road in a self-built camper
  • In Zurich since 2025, grew up in Tyrol

Quick answers

What does a Founders Associate do?

At CASUS I work directly with the founders on whatever matters most right now: go-to-market and sales, CRM and automations, the website including SEO and GEO, legal research and code in the product. There is no fixed job description – that is the point of the role.

What is CASUS?

A Zurich startup building an AI product for lawyers. It is aimed at law firms in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

What did I do before?

Three years at Stadtmarketing Schwaz in Tyrol: city festivals with around 10,000 guests, an event venue with over 50 events a year and the digitalisation behind it. Before that, paramedic with the Red Cross. Alongside work I am studying business administration at MCI in Innsbruck.

Where do I work, and in which languages?

In Zurich; I grew up in Tyrol. I work in German and English.

What is the best way to reach me?

On LinkedIn or by email. The address is in the contact section above, behind a small slider that keeps spam bots out.
